Stopping Autocomplete in Bluebeam Revu

Are you seeing entries from past projects in the Autocomplete sections of Bluebeam Revu?  If Bluebeam Revu is your PDF tool for everything (and why wouldn’t it be?), including your taxes, legal documents, and other private information, you probably prefer not to see your personal information fill into those areas.

You may want to clear out the autocomplete data once in a while. Otherwise text and text strings based on previously entered text will continue pre-populating. We’ve all seen this with email, right? You want to send an email, but embarrassingly, gets your email because you were quick on the return key.

Stopping Autocomplete in Bluebeam Revu is easy and here’s how to do it

Using Bluebeam Revu 2018 or 2019 version of Bluebeam Revu, go to the Revu Menu > Preferences, then click on the General section on the left and select Spelling at the top.  Next to the Enable Auto-Complete checkbox, click on Manage….  You can now select the Category, this will show you all the remembered entries to select and clear individually or simply “Clear All”.  Hope this simple tip makes a big difference for you today.
