Windows XP SP3 Support Ends April 8th, 2014 (and what this means to Bluebeam Revu Users)

From the website announcement:  After April 8, 2014, there will be no new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options or online technical content updates to Windows XP.

What does this mean for Bluebeam Revu users?

As it turns out, Revu 11 will be the last release to support Windows XP and Vista.  At some point in 2014, Bluebeam Revu 12 will be released.  Revu 12 will only be supported on Windows 7 and Windows 8 because Microsoft is ending extended support for Windows XP on April 8, 2014, and has already ended mainstream support for Windows Vista.  Additionally, Vista is no longer supported in new Microsoft applications.  Bluebeam Revu 12 will not be compatible on Windows XP or Vista.

For our customers on Bluebeam Software Maintenance contracts, you should only install Revu 12 to your PCs running Windows 7 or 8. Need to move your license of Revu from an XP machine to a Windows 7 or 8 machine?  Here is how to do it
